Residents of Moore in Ile Ife Osun state woke up to the greatest surprise of their lives!
A popular shopping complex owned by a late pharmacist have been “bombed”.
The incident occurred in the wee hours of Saturday March 7, 2018. The two-storey building located on Moore road, Ile Ife contains valuable items and property worth millions of naira.
It was reduced to half after it sunk into the ground.
A popular pharmacy within the complex Ebenco was completely destroyed.
The act was carried out by three men believed to be relatives of the owner.
“I heard a huge sound around 11 pm yesterday. I initially thought it was a gun, however we woke up to see this,” a resident who live some houses away said.
One of the three men who executed the dastard act was trapped in the two-storey building and was reportedly rushed to Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospital Complex.
However, it was reported that he died this morning after revealing the identity of other team members.
The owner of the shopping complex who also owned Ebenco pharmacy died less than a year ago.
It was rumoured that the men carried out the act due to family disputes over the properties of the late pharmacist.
Crowds of passerby gathered at the scene were dispersed around 3.00 pm by the convoy of the Ooni of Ife, Oba Enitan Adeyeye Ogunwusi.
Policemen from Moore police station have since been deployed to the scene of the incident.
