…Death has robbed us of his candour and large-heartedness – VC
The Head, Department of Religions and Peace Studies, Faculty of Arts, Prof. Lateef Mobolaji Adetona is dead.
He died in the early hours of today, Friday 13th April, 2018.
The Vice Chancellor, Professor Olanrewaju Fagbohun, on behalf of the University Management has commiserated with the family, friends and colleagues of Professor Adetona and members of the Faculty of Arts on his untimely death.
The Vice Chancellor in his condolence message noted that Prof. Lateef Adetona is a straightforward individual known for his candour and frankness, stating that death has robbed him and indeed the entire University of his professionalism and large-heartedness at a time when such qualities are sorely needed in moving the University forward.
The Vice Chancellor prayed God to grant the family, friends and colleagues of the deceased and especially members of the LASU Muslim Community, the Faculty Arts and the family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss. He also prayed that God grant the dead aljanah fridaos. Amen.
Professor Lateef Adetona will be buried in Lagos today according to lslamic rites.
